Mystic Dragon is incredibly proud to be an Official Authorized Dealer and TAG Submission Center for TAG — Technical Authentication & Grading, making us one of only two locations in Southern Ontario where collectors can submit their cards to TAG in person. TAG inscribes the grade and data directly onto the crystal clear encasing.
Slabs include an accurate Industry Standard 1-10 Grade as well as a Digital Image & Grading Report (DIG).
Slabs graded with DIG Report Plus receive a precise 1000 pt TAG Score,
determining card grade-strength and ranking on the TAG Leaderboards.
TAG believes the card's appearance should speak for itself.
Say goodbye to distracting paper flips. Instead, the TAG

Everything you need to know before submitting your cards for grading.
TAG
is a digital grading company that grades and scores cards using digital
imaging to look at your card. By the end of the process, TAG offers you
a slab with a QR code on it to which you can scan and see the imaging
of your card during the grading process and the reason why your card got
the grade it got.
There are 3 different submission options, Basic, Scored, Express. We do not have set Canadian prices as of yet, but it is estimated for basic submissions it will be between $65 - $85. When we get confirmed prices we will update them here.
There is no up-charge for any card you send. You could send in any card and the price will remain as posted!
When you grade a card you are paying for a standard scale of grading from 1-10. When scoring your card, you are getting a more detailed report and scaling it on a
scale of 0-1000 & your card will go onto the leaderboard. You will still get a grade from 1-10 but in the QR code it will also include the score you got.
No matter which option you pick, both include a QR code so that you can scan and see why your card got the grade it got.
We send out submissions once per month, as we get more submissions we will send out more often. When you are entering your information for your submission it will tell you the current expected turnaround time based on your grading level options.
The day your card(s) is back at Mystic Dragon we will call to let you know it has arrived.
Yes, you can login or create an account on the TAG Portal (using the same email on your submission form) to track where your slab is in processing.
It takes on average 7 business days once TAG has received your submission for them to appear on the Portal.
All submissions are currently processed in California at TAGs Grading facility.
The standard TAG slab for trading cards up to 50pt measures 5.25”x 3.125”, and is of most comparable height and width to CGC slabs among prominent grading companies. TAG slabs use the highest optical-grade UV protectant acrylic available and have radiused ergonomic edges so they are comfortable in-hand. Additionally, TAG slabs are durable and weather-resistant. TAG slabs fit comfortably in most industry standard graded card sleeves, and sleeves specifically-designed for TAG slabs can be purchased from the TAG Online Store.
TAG does not currently offer a Crossover submission service, and does not crack slabs from other third-party grading companies. While we may offer this service in the future, at the moment we are prioritizing efficiency in our Receiving process.
While our team is thrilled collectors wish to see previously-graded cards in TAG slabs, but at the moment, we are requesting customers remove cards from those holders themselves before submitting them to TAG.
All TAG Grading certification numbers are a mix of numbers and letters which are generated randomly. Sequential certification numbers are not available to customers and cannot be requested.
At this time TAG will not grade any of those, due to its AI scanning, it can not differentiate those things from Damaged or Altered cards.
Any alterations to your card could become very evident with TAG's Photometric Stereoscopic Imaging technology and you risk it being labeled as Altered and upgradable. Your card will be sent back not in a slab, and your submission costs will not be refunded.
TAG is now doing the Foil Wrap, as well is showing your TAG score out of 1000 on the slab automatically. (paying for scoring will still get your card on the leaderboard) The 360 video is not an option for Canadian submissions at this time.
Every TAG graded card includes a detailed Digital Imaging & Grading Report (DIG). By scanning the TAG Grade on the slab with your smartphone, instantly access high res images of all the identified defects, scoring breakdowns for individual card attributes, Population, Leaderboard, Chronology, and more.
No, 100% absolutely not. Just because the TAG Portal says shipped, your card still has to pack its bags, get on a plane, fly all the way from California USA back to Ontario Canada, Go through customs, then get picked up by Canada Post at the airport, sorted and delivered to your friendly neighborhood card shop. And all those people only work on weekdays.. it unfortunately is not a quick process, so please PLEASE be patient, and we will call you as soon as your card is back home safely, we promise.
